SummaryEdit

AnalysisEdit

  • This episode is the first in the series to depict a Garmillas vessel going to warp, or making a "Geschtam jump" as the Garmillas themselves call it. The process creates a somewhat different visual effect from that of Yamato's warp in "Escape from the Jupiter Sphere," suggesting that Garmillas warp engines do not work in exactly the same way. However, unlike the experienced Garmillas, Yamato's flight was the first test of humanity's first (and so far only) warp capable vessel, which may account for some of the differences.
