Admiral Cosmodart Nazca (コズモダード・ナスカ Kozumodāto Nasuka): was a young leader of the Comet Empire's vanguard force to conquer the Solar System. He commanded a Hailstorm-type carrier, the Hailstorm, which served as his personal flagship.

Cosmodart Nazca, like many in the Comet Empire’s fleet (along with his superior officer Admiral Valsey) was initially scornful of the aging Earth ship Yamato, thinking that the Earth Battleship was outclassed by their more advanced Comet Empire superiority. He was later proven wrong when the Yamato proved to be too much for his fleet to handle, due to the Yamato being recently upgraded with much longer range Shock Cannons. After being defeated he later reports his failure to Desler and begs him for help, only to be turned away. It is presumed that Nazca was most likely executed for his failure in the end, as he wasn't seen afterwards.
